Drowning incidents and deaths in Syria due to the flooding of the Euphrates River
Several areas along the Euphrates River witnessed unfortunate drowning incidents in the past few hours, coinciding with the continued rise in risks near the riverbanks and bridge areas.
In the countryside of Jarabulus, east of Aleppo, search operations are continuing by civil defense teams and locals for the child Ayoub Hussein Issa, after a drowning incident that occurred near the river yesterday, according to local reports.
In the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, a 12-year-old girl was reported dead near the bridge of the city of Ashara, after three girls fell into the river water, while the locals were able to rescue two girls.
Local reports also indicated another drowning incident involving a child near the Al-Amarna area in the vicinity of Jarabulus, east of Aleppo.
