In this context, the Council, headed by the King, announced recording the highest levels of contribution of non-oil activities to the gross domestic product at a rate of up to 50%, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to achieve a diversified and prosperous economy.

This announcement comes as confirmation of the success of implementing the major vision programs and projects, by opening new sectors that contribute to increasing growth rates, according to the Saudi News Agency (SPA) .

Within the framework of the new decisions and approvals recently taken by the Council, it approved the appointment of the Royal Commission for the Holy City of Mecca and the Holy Sites as the supervising body for the project of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Center for Cosmological Sciences and Crescent Observations, the Mecca Clock, and the internal and external crescent observatories. He also approved an agreement to establish a headquarters between the Kingdom’s government and the International Monetary Fund to establish a regional office for the Fund in the city of Riyadh.

In addition, important decisions included the approval of a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi and Egyptian Finance Ministries to establish a high-level financial dialogue.
