Arab Weather - The latest outputs of weather models indicate renewed chances of the formation of cumulonimbus clouds and rainfall in a number of Arab regions at the end of the week, as a result of the activity of local clouds associated with topography and daytime heating, in addition to the continued influence of monsoon winds in some areas.

The chances of rain include the Hajar Mountains in Oman, the eastern regions of the UAE, the mountains of Yemen and southwestern Saudi Arabia, as well as parts of northern Tunisia and Algeria and some desert areas. Seasonal thunderstorms are also active in Sudan, Djibouti and Somalia, where thunderstorms are expected to be accompanied by varying intensities of rainfall and dust-raising downdrafts in some areas.

This type of summer thunderstorm is characterized by high convection within the atmosphere, which leads to significant activity of lightning and thunder sometimes locally, in addition to the formation of strong downdrafts that may cause dust and sandstorms to occur in some desert and exposed areas.

In contrast, the weather remains stable and dry in most parts of the Levant, including the Levant and Iraq, with the continuation of normal summer weather.
