A few days separate us from the start of the rainy season in the Arabian Peninsula.

Arab Weather - This year's "rainy season" begins on October 16 and continues until December 6, lasting 52 days. It's named after the land's abundant greenery and plants. If rain continues during this period, a special spring will follow, with the appearance of truffles.

Arabs call it "the howling of the cold" because it brings cold, and it is considered the best time for rain. Al-Wasm is one of the most important seasons, followed by the Al-Mubarqaniyah season, which lasts 39 or 40 days. During this season, the weather cools down, and toward the end, the cold becomes intense and the nights lengthen.

There are several clear signs of the arrival of Wasm, including: Migratory birds begin crossing the skies of the Arabian Peninsula, Sidr honey is harvested, clouds move from west to east in response to the western jet stream, and the weather moderates significantly at night due to the apparent movement of the sun towards the south, in addition to moderate dust waves resulting from upper depressions descending towards the region.

Seasonal illnesses associated with climate change, such as influenza, are also more prevalent during this season due to the significant difference between warm daytime temperatures and the potentially chilly nighttime temperatures. "Wasm" is not a mansion or star in the sky, but rather a term for a season or distinct period of time, comprising four lunar mansions, each lasting 13 days:
