وأوضح بذلك مدير إدارة المعرفة المهندس عمر محمد دفتردار أن المبادرة تهدف إلى رفع الوعي بالإنذار المبكر حيث سوف يعمل المركز كمنصة معلوماتية على أنظمة المعلومات الجغرافية التي تربط جميع المعلومات البيئية والأرصادية، بما فيها محطات جودة الهواء والتفتيش والتراخيص البيئية، وتندرج جميع هذه البيانات من ضمن عدة مبادرات مختلفة، وسوف تنقسم المبادرة إلى 5 أجزاء أساسية، وهي البيئة والأرصاد ونظم وقواعد البيانات والإنذار المبكر والجودة.
وأضاف أن أثر المبادرة سينعكس بشكل إيجابي على القطاعات الصناعية والزراعية، وكذلك على المواطن من النواحي الصحية والعلمية وستتوفر البيانات للقطاعات البحثية والعلمية والتعليمية، بالإضافة إلى رفع الوعي بالإنذار المبكر وتوفيره على مستوى الإنذارات الأرصادية والبيئية
