Umm Qais Museum
The museum is located in one of the Ottoman era houses in the village of Umm Qais, and consists of two exhibition halls. The second hall is dedicated to displaying statues, most of which date back to the Roman era. Umm Qais archaeological site
Umm Qais (a wall) was built using beautiful black basalt stone, and was one of the Decapolis cities included in the general plan of Roman cities. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has worked to develop the Ottoman area, which is located in part of the old city, and is currently carrying out several excavations and conservation operations for a group of projects at the site, including the restoration of the main (western) theatre.
