Arab Weather: First rainfall in southern regions in over 60 days
According to the latest data via computer simulation in Arab Weather, it is expected that during the evening and night hours of Wednesday/Thursday and the dawn of Thursday, the cold air will deepen in the upper layers of the atmosphere and meet with an extension of the Red Sea depression, so that the amounts of clouds will increase and showers of rain will fall in several areas of the Kingdom, including the southern regions, including the highlands of Karak and Tafila, the Gulf and city of Aqaba, Wadi Rum, the Disi Basin and the surrounding areas, the Shara Mountains, Wadi Musa, the southern Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, Wadi Araba and the roads leading to it, and the desert areas, including the city of Ma’an and Al-Jafr, reaching the Al-Mudawwara border area and the road leading to it.
These showers are sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and possibly hail in some areas. These thunderstorms are also accompanied by strong gusts of wind, causing temporary dust storms in some desert areas, and high and turbulent waves in the Gulf of Aqaba.
He hopes that this weather condition will contribute to improving the rainfall situation in the south of the Kingdom, given the need for additional rainfall during the remainder of the season.
The rainy weather is widespread and not limited to the southern regions.
Here, the experts at Arab Weather said that it should be noted that this rainy weather is not limited to the southern regions only, but includes most regions of the Kingdom with varying degrees of intensity, with variations in the intensity of rainfall from one region to another, and we ask God to make it a rain of mercy and not a rain of punishment, O Lord.
And God knows best.
