Jordan: Very cold weather continues tonight with chances of some rain showers and a decrease in atmospheric instability tomorrow

Arab Weather - The latest computer outputs received by the Arab Weather Center indicate that the Kingdom will continue to be affected, God willing, by a state of atmospheric instability during the hours of Wednesday/Thursday night and during the day on Thursday, as the opportunity remains available for showers of rain in some areas, and the weather will stabilize on Thursday night and Friday day, but with it continuing to be very cold.

Weather conditions and expected minimum temperatures on Wednesday/Thursday night

On Wednesday/Thursday night, the weather will be cold, mostly cloudy with rain in the north, center and east of the Kingdom, sometimes extending towards the heights of Karak and Tafilah, with hail showers in the highlands. The weather will be very cold and light snow showers are likely to fall on the peaks of the highlands in the south. Fog is expected to form in the highlands due to the passage of clouds touching the ground. The winds will be southwesterly, moderate in speed, and become active in speed during the late night and dawn hours in the highlands.

Thursday: Cold weather and active winds raise dust in the far east of the Kingdom

On Thursday, temperatures will be 2-4 degrees Celsius below average. The weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, generally cold and very cold in the high mountains. There is a weak chance of scattered rain, God willing, and hail showers will fall in the high mountainous areas during the morning hours. The chances of rain will decrease from the southern regions during the day.

The winds will be active westerly, with strong gusts in the high mountains, exposed areas and deserts, and will cause dust storms in the eastern desert and eastern plains.

Thursday/Friday night will be very cold with widespread frost and warnings for farmers.

During the night hours of Thursday/Friday, there will be another drop in night temperatures to be close to zero degrees Celsius in several parts of the Kingdom during the late night hours, and in the Shara Mountains, the Badia regions, and parts of the eastern plains, temperatures may drop below zero degrees Celsius.

With the decrease in cloud cover and the decrease in wind speed, the weather conditions are suitable for the formation of frost in many and wide areas of the Kingdom, including the main cities. God willing, frost is expected to start early in the night hours, i.e. Tuesday/Wednesday night, and intensify and expand with time and continue until the late hours of Friday morning, especially over the high mountainous heights and the eastern plains areas.

Friday: Stable weather with high clouds

During the day on Friday, temperatures will be around average, and frost will form in the morning hours in large areas of the Kingdom. As for the rest of the day, the weather will be generally cold and very cold in the high mountains with the appearance of high clouds, and the winds will be light and variable in direction, and moderate easterly in parts of the south of the Kingdom.

During the night hours, i.e. Friday/Saturday night, the weather will be very cold and mostly clear, and frost is expected, especially in the south and east of the Kingdom, in addition to the eastern plains. The winds will be moderate easterly, with active gusts in some western regions.
