حذرت إدارة الإعلام والتثقيف الوقائي في المديرية العامة للدفاع المدني المواطنين نتيجةً لما تشهده المملكة من حالة عدم الاستقرار الجوي ضرورة الابتعاد عن جوانب الأَودية وأَماكن تشكل السيول والانتقال من الأماكن المنخفضة إلى أماكن مرتفعة وأكثر أماناً، وبخاصة لمن يقطنون في الوحدات السكنية المتنقلة مثل الخيام و بيوت الشعر وعدم المغامرة بقطع مجرى السيول سواءً بالمركبات أو سيراً على الأقدام.
وبحسب صحيفة الغد فقد أكدت الإدارة كذلك على ضرورة الإقلال من الحركة على الطرق التي تشهد غباراً كثيفاً ما أمكن وتوخي الحيطة والحذر أثناء القيادة وخاصة على الطرقات الخارجية في مختلف أنحاء المملكة والاحتفاظ بالعلاجات الخاصة للأشخاص الذين يعانون من أمراض الربو والأزمات الصدرية وعدم التردد بالإتصال على هاتف طوارئ الدفاع المدني (911) إذا دعت الحاجة لذلك
