Jordan: Early clash of weather systems foreshadows frequent weather and temperature fluctuations in the coming period.

Arab Weather - The results of modern technologies in Arab Weather indicate that the Levant region and Jordan will, God willing, be on the verge of a clear weather and temperature fluctuation during the coming period, specifically at the end of January and the beginning of the first third of February 2026.

These fluctuations are attributed to a clear conflict in weather systems, represented by the advance of warm air masses at times, followed by the rush of cold air masses at other times, which leads to a noticeable fluctuation in temperatures, with opportunities for rainfall at widely spaced intervals.

This pattern of weather systems clashing is relatively early for this time of year, as such cases are usually recorded during March and April, and not during late January or early February, especially since it coincides with the end of the winter solstice.

God willing, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, a slight decrease in temperatures is expected, with generally sunny and cold weather during the morning hours, and relatively cold weather over the mountains during the afternoon and evening, while it will be moderate in the low-lying areas. On Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, there is a possibility of local showers of rain in limited areas.

On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, the Kingdom will be affected, God willing, by a first-degree low-pressure system (which is the lowest degree in the scale of classification of low-pressure systems adopted by Arab Weather), where a noticeable drop in temperatures is expected, and the weather will return to being generally cold.

Winds are also active in various regions, and may be accompanied by strong gusts reaching about 60 km/h in the high mountainous areas, the eastern desert regions, and the Badia, which may lead to dust and sandstorms in the desert regions.

God willing, showers of rain will fall during the afternoon and evening, concentrated in the northern regions and extending at times to the central regions.

On Thursday , January 29, 2026 , the weather will remain generally cold, with clouds continuing to appear at different altitudes, and there remains a chance of rain showers in some areas.

As the weather systems continue to clash in the last days of January, temperatures are expected to gradually rise starting on Friday, and this rise will increase during Saturday and Sunday, i.e., with the beginning of February, where temperatures are expected to approach 18-19 degrees Celsius in the capital, Amman, and be higher than that in the low-lying areas, with less cold weather during the afternoon and evening hours, while the weather remains cold during the night and early morning hours.
