Jordan: Will it bring rain? A mild air mass will affect the Kingdom starting Tuesday.

Arab Weather - Weather maps indicate that the Kingdom will be affected by a mild autumnal air mass during the last days of September and the beginning of October 2025, leading to a drop in temperatures compared to the current situation. The weather will return to autumnal conditions in most regions of the Kingdom, God willing, coinciding with the appearance of low clouds.

The following are details of the Kingdom being affected by a mild air mass midweek:

Monday, September 29, 2025: Temperatures will drop slightly, falling below average. The weather will be moderate in the mountains and relatively hot in the rest of the region. Winds will be moderate northwesterly.

During the evening and night hours of Monday/Tuesday, the Kingdom will begin to be affected by a mild air mass, so night temperatures will drop significantly and the weather will be cool to relatively cold in various regions. Surface humidity levels will rise, creating the opportunity for fog to form over some high mountainous areas and the eastern plains, God willing.

Tuesday, September 30th to Thursday, October 2nd: The Kingdom will be increasingly affected by a mild air mass, causing temperatures to drop further, falling below the mid-twenties Celsius in the capital, Amman. This is lower than usual for this time of year. The weather will be moderate over the high mountainous areas and relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with low clouds appearing, especially in the morning.

Relatively cold nights are coming to the Kingdom in the middle of the week, and there is a need to wear warmer clothes.

The latest numerical model outputs indicate that minimum temperatures will drop to between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius over the high mountain ranges and plain areas, while minimum temperatures will be less than 11 degrees Celsius over the peaks of the Sharah Mountains, amid relatively cool but refreshing conditions. These minimum temperatures are the coldest since last spring.

Does the autumn air mass bring rain?

In this regard, the autumn air mass is not expected to be accompanied by rainfall. The scientific reason behind this is due to the weakness of the upper atmospheric influence (the weakness of the low pressure system in the upper atmosphere and its distance from the Kingdom), in addition to the low humidity levels in the structural layers of the atmosphere.
