وفي التفاصيل، فتندفع تيارات هوائية محملة بكميات جيدة من الرطوبة النسبية في طبقات الجو المتوسطة والعالية، تؤدي الى تكاثر السحب ذات الطابع الركامي على منطقة الربع الخالي، يرافقها تشكل البرق وهطول زخات متفرقة من المطر، وبفعل جفاف الطبقات الجوية القريبة من السطح الأرض، تنشط حركة الرياح السطحية مما تجلب الغبار وتدني مدى الرؤية الافقية.
