Saudi Arabia | Civil Defense warns of approaching thunderstorms in the Kingdom

Arab Weather - The National Center for Meteorology warned in its report today that most regions of the Kingdom will be affected by a widespread and varying rainfall situation - God willing - starting from Friday until next Sunday. The report explained that the situation will be accompanied by active downdrafts stirring up dust and sand, reaching speeds of more than 60 km/h, with the possibility of hail and flash floods in some areas, and high waves on the coasts.

Details of affected areas:

• Tabuk: Tabuk, Neom, Tayma, Haql, Al Wajh, Umluj, Al Bada, Duba.
• Al-Jawf: Sakaka, Dumat Al-Jandal.
• Northern borders: Arar, Rafha, Al-Uwaiqilah.
• Hail: Hail, Al-Ghazala, Al-Shamli, Baqaa.
• Al-Qassim: Buraidah, Unaizah, Ar-Rass, Al-Mudhnib, Al-Asyah.
• Medina: Medina, Yanbu, Khaybar, Badr, Al-Mahd.
• Riyadh: Riyadh (the capital), Rumah, Al Majma'ah, Al Zulfi, Al Ghat, Shaqra, Thadiq, Huraymila, Marat, Dhurma, Afif, Al Dawadmi, Al Quway'iyah, Al Rayn, Al Hariq, Al Muzahmiyah, Al Dilam, Hawtat Bani Tamim, Al Kharj, and Layla
• Hafar Al-Batin and the Eastern Province: Khafji, Al-Nairiyah, Jubail, Dammam, Qatif, Al-Ahsa.
• Makkah and its governorates: Makkah, Jeddah, Rabigh, Khulais, Al-Jumum, Bahrah, Al-Kamil.
