Saudi Arabia: King Salman calls for prayers for rain to be held throughout the Kingdom tomorrow.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has called for prayers for rain to be held throughout Saudi Arabia tomorrow, Thursday, February 12, 2026.

The statement read:
Following the example of our Prophet Muhammad - peace and blessings be upon him - in performing the prayer for rain, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect and preserve him - has called for the performance of the prayer for rain throughout the Kingdom on Thursday, the 24th of Sha'ban 1447 AH, according to the Umm al-Qura calendar. Everyone should increase their repentance, seek forgiveness, and return to God Almighty, be kind to His servants, and increase their voluntary acts of worship, such as charity, prayers, and remembrance of God, and make things easier for God's servants and relieve their distress, so that God may relieve us and make easy for us what we hope for. Every able person should be keen to perform the prayer, acting upon the Sunnah of the Messenger of God - peace and blessings be upon him - and showing their need for God Almighty, while being persistent in supplication, for God loves for His servants to supplicate frequently and persistently.
We ask God Almighty to have mercy on the country and its people, to answer the prayers of His servants, and to make what He sends down a mercy for them and a provision for a time. He is the All-Hearing, the Responsive. May God bless our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions and grant them peace.
