وأكد وزير العمل نضال القطامين، خلال اجتماع لجنة التربية والتعليم النيابية للبحث في اضراب المعلمين، أن إغلاق المدارس جاء بعد إنذارها بالإغلاق لكنها لم تلتزم، لافتاً إلى أنه تم إعادة فتح عدة مدارس منها قامت بتصويب أوضاعها.
