The thermal dome is positioned at standard values above 4 Arab countries
Arab Weather - The latest computer simulation outputs at the Arab Weather Regional Center indicate the positioning of a strong heat dome over large parts of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya, especially the eastern parts, as a result of the dominance of a very hot air mass in all atmospheric layers, which caused the recording of high and exceptional values of the high pressure at the level of 500 hectopascals (at an altitude of approximately 5.5–6 kilometers above sea level), which are among the highest values during the summer season.
This heat dome is created as a result of air descending from the upper layers towards the Earth's surface, where, during its descent, the air is subjected to adiabatic compression, a dynamic process that leads to an increase in air temperature and a decrease in humidity, which enhances the stability of the atmosphere and limits the formation of clouds, and allows the sun's rays to heat the Earth's surface more efficiently, thus intensifying the heat wave significantly.
According to forecasts, this heat dome will affect Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya in the coming days, with temperatures expected to rise to levels much higher than usual, with temperatures reaching 50 degrees Celsius in some areas, especially desert and inland regions, while temperatures exceed the mid-forties in other large areas.
And God knows best.
