Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Daghiri, professor of biological and integrated control of agricultural, veterinary and public health pests at Qassim University, published a tweet in which he talked about the appearance of “beetles” in the areas of southern Rafha and southern Hafar Al-Batin.

He explained that predatory ground beetles of the Harpalus type are the most common, and they gather in large numbers during the mating period, noting the importance of reducing lighting around homes to attract them.
For his part, Walid Suleiman Al-Hogail indicated that the time for the beetles to appear is the months of April and May, partly due to the cessation of spraying them in their sources.
There are various types of beetles that appear in Saudi Arabia, the most prominent of which are carrion beetles and ground beetles.
