A strong start to autumn and heavy thunderstorms in several Arab countries on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Arab Weather - The weather forecast team at the Arab Weather Regional Center is closely monitoring developments in the Mediterranean. Forecasts indicate that Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia will be affected by unstable weather conditions, accompanied by occasional heavy thunderstorms, with the possibility of hail and flash floods in low-lying areas.
These fluctuations are the result of a cold air mass rushing from northwestern Europe toward the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea, where it collides with warm, humid winds from the south, forming cumulus clouds that bring heavy rain and thunderstorms.
Tuesday: Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia are affected by rain and thunderstorms.
The latest computer modeling outputs available through the Arab Weather app indicate significant weather changes will occur on Tuesday and Wednesday in Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria, according to the following details:
- Algeria: Heavy rain, sometimes with hail and strong thunderstorms, concentrated in the north.
- Northeastern Morocco and the border areas with Algeria: Scattered thunderstorms at intervals.
- Northern Tunisia: Scattered thunderstorms at intervals.
Wednesday: Rain intensifies in Tunisia and decreases in other regions.
On Wednesday, most of the weather fluctuations will shift to the northern and central parts of Tunisia, where moderate to heavy rainfall is expected, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail. Rain chances are expected to decline significantly on Thursday, God knows best.
