Levant: Rare chance of summer rain in these areas starting Sunday
Arab Weather - Computer simulation results at the Arab Weather Center indicate that the Levant region will be affected in the coming days by humid air currents coming from the Mediterranean Sea, as a result of the concentration of a low-pressure area in the eastern basin of the Mediterranean Sea, which leads to the rush of amounts of humidity towards the atmosphere of the region and a decrease in temperatures compared to previous days.
God willing, these humid air currents are expected to cause the formation of low clouds, with the possibility of some rain falling at intervals, especially in some coastal areas of Syria and Lebanon, in addition to parts of the Palestinian coast. The rain may sometimes be accompanied by thunder.
The humid maritime air masses also contribute to moderating the atmosphere, as temperatures drop to become lower than the averages recorded during the past days, with relatively mild summer weather in the coastal areas, and pleasant during the night hours, especially with the high humidity and the activity of the maritime winds.
As for the interior regions of the Levant, the weather remains typical for summer during the daytime, with a decrease in the intensity of the heat compared to the previous period, while the weather tends to be pleasant at night, especially over the mountainous highlands, with the continued influence of humid air currents over large parts of the region.
And God knows best.
