Continuous update: This is a list of hospitals that have announced 100% occupancy rates for beds designated for Corona

Arab Weather - Several responsible authorities in the Jordanian Ministry of Health announced that a number of hospitals in the country have reached 100% occupancy rates for the treatment of Corona beds, and include the following hospitals at the time of writing this report:

Jordan University Hospital (according to a statement to the Kingdom Channel).

Al-Nadeem Governmental Hospital in Madaba Governorate.

Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein Hospital in Zarqa Governorate.

Al-Totanji Hospital in the capital, Amman.

On the other hand, the Jordanian government announced in a statement on Monday March 15-2021 that there are a number of other (unnamed) hospitals that are close to 100%, while the armed forces, through the Royal Medical Services, are reinforcing some of the kingdom's hospitals in field hospitals. Mobile contributes to increasing the bed capacity of fixed hospitals in some areas.

In a separate press release to the local Hosna Radio, Assistant Secretary-General for Health Care Affairs, Dr. Ghazi Sharkas stated that the occupancy rates of the critical care beds in all parts of the Kingdom amounted to about 51%, while the occupancy rates of the so-called isolation dedicated to Corona reached about 42%. Sharkas added that occupancy rates in hospitals in the central region are the highest, followed by hospitals in the northern region and then the southern region.

And this steady rise in occupancy rates comes as a result of a deadly outbreak of the Coronavirus in recent days in Jordan, in the strongest epidemic wave the country has witnessed since the start of the pandemic about a year ago. In recent days, rates of injuries were recorded in Jordan, which were very high, and reached record levels, making the Kingdom among the list of countries with the most recorded rates of injuries in consecutive days.

And the competent authorities in Jordan are trying to remedy the matter by expediting the provision of vaccines, and implementing government measures that include complete closure every day from seven in the evening until six in the morning of the next day, in addition to implementing a comprehensive closure (a comprehensive ban) from seven o'clock From Thursday evening until six o'clock in the morning of Saturday.

The director of the Epidemic Control Center, Firas Hawari, said in a statement to the Jordanian channel Ruya that harsher measures will be taken if the infection rates continue to rise during the coming days, in an attempt to reduce the severity of hospital admissions.
