Rare snowfall in western Iraq, chances of snow continuing in these areas in the coming hours

Arab Weather - The latest satellite images from the Arab Weather Regional Center indicate the flow of cold polar winds to Iraq, coinciding with some rain clouds affecting the west of the country and leading to snow showers in some western regions, especially the humid west of Anbar at this time.

Polar winds will deepen on Saturday/Sunday night, accompanied by some precipitation in the form of snow over some areas.

During the hours of Saturday/Sunday night, the influence of the very cold polar air mass deepens towards Iraq, so temperatures drop and the weather becomes very cold in all areas, including the capital Baghdad, and turns very cold during the late night hours, dawn and early morning, especially in the northern and western regions, and frost forms in several areas.

The deepening of the polar winds coincides with some precipitation, as the weather is cloudy, and as a result of the flow of very cold winds through the various layers of the atmosphere, especially those close to the Earth's surface, snow is expected to fall sometimes in parts of the west and north of the country, and it may accumulate in some areas.
