This will increase the risk of flash floods and torrential rains.

Snowfall is expected to increase in the European Alps in the coming days.

As temperatures drop across the various layers of the atmosphere, and given the unique nature of the Alps, which are more than 3,000 meters above sea level, the density of snowfall increases, leading to snow thicknesses ranging between one and two meters on some towering peaks.
