A study reveals: The Israeli occupation of Gaza is destroying the global climate

<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Weather of Arabia - The British newspaper The Guardian announced the results of a recent study that reveals the enormous environmental cost of the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The study indicated that the first months of the conflict led to the production of large quantities of greenhouse gases, more than what 20 countries at risk of climate change produce in one year.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><h3 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <u><strong>The Israeli occupation of Gaza is destroying the global climate</strong></u></h3><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Researchers from the United Kingdom and the United States participated in this study and confirmed that 99% of the total amount of 281 thousand metric tons of carbon dioxide was released in the first 60 days of the war starting on October 7, as a result of Israeli air strikes and the ground attack on Gaza.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Mathematically, the first 60 days of the conflict in Gaza are equivalent to burning at least 150,000 tons of coal.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Regarding carbon dioxide emissions from air strikes, tanks and other vehicle fuel, bombs, artillery shells and missiles, alarming numbers were recorded, as the study revealed that half of the total carbon dioxide emissions were the result of American cargo planes transporting military supplies to Israel.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/international">theguardian</a></p>
