موقع Arabiaweather.com- تعتزم شركة "روس كوسموس" (الوكالة الفضائية الروسية) تصميم محركات ستستخدم في المركبات الفضائية وستعمل بفضل التحليل الكهربائي للماء اعتباراً من عام 2018. ضمن مشروع البرنامج الفضائي الروسي لأعوام 2016 – 2025 الذي أعدته الوكالة لإحالته إلى الحكومة التي يفترض أن تقره في آذار القادم.

ويشار إلى أن محركات المستقبل الفضائية ستعمل بوقود الهيدروجين والأكسيجين المحصول عليهما على متن المركبة الفضائية بنتيجة التحليل الكهربائي للماء، وستستخدم لهذا الغرض وحدة قوية لتوليد الطاقة الكهربائية.
