Residents of Burj Khalifa break their fast and Suhoor on three times!

Weather of Arabia - Sinan Khalaf - The time for breaking the fast on earth is not like the time for breaking the fast in the sky, and it is not like the time for breaking the fast with regard to the upper floors of the tall towers, as the sun delays sunset as we rise to the top.

This is what the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai observed through a previous fatwa it issued to the residents of the tallest towers in the city of Dubai, which urged them to delay the fasting breakfast for two or three minutes after the call to prayer, according to their height, explaining that the residents of Burj Khalifa, the tallest in the world, should Iftar and Suhoor according to three times determined by the floors in which they reside.

And the chief mufti said that there are differences in the timing between the residents of the very high floors, and the floors close to the ground, especially in the Maghrib, Isha and Fajr prayers.

And the department had reported that the residents of Burj Khalifa, which consists of 160 floors, are required to delay breaking the fast during the month of Ramadan, explaining that the residents of floors from 80 to 150 are required to break the fast two minutes after the time of the Maghrib prayer call, and the evening prayer comes to them also two minutes after the mosque call to prayer. While the time for dawn prayer comes two minutes early.

The fatwa indicated that residents of floors from 150 and above, the time for the call to prayer for Maghrib and Isha comes three minutes late, while the call to prayer for Fajr comes to them three minutes early, and for residents of floors less than the 80th floor, they break their fast according to the time for the call to prayer for Maghrib in mosques.
