Double Human Tragedies: A Landslide in Sudan and a Devastating Earthquake in Afghanistan

Arab Weather - Over the past few hours, the world has witnessed devastating natural disasters that have claimed the lives of thousands of people. A massive landslide struck an entire village in Sudan's Darfur region, killing more than 1,000 people, amid complex rescue efforts hampered by the nature of the terrain and weather conditions.

Meanwhile, a powerful earthquake struck Kunar Province in Afghanistan, killing at least 1,500 people and destroying entire villages. Local and international rescue teams continue their efforts to reach those trapped under the rubble, amid poor infrastructure and the difficulty of delivering aid.

These disasters highlight the vulnerability of affected areas to natural hazards and the challenges relief teams face in mitigating their catastrophic effects.

We ask God to have mercy on the victims, to inspire their families with patience and solace, to heal the wounded and injured, and to protect Muslim countries from all calamities and tribulations.
