Is it true that Jordan will be affected by a heat wave next week?

The latest weather maps and numerical model readings issued by the weather forecasting team at Arab Weather indicate that the Kingdom of Jordan will be gradually affected, starting from Sunday, by a hotter air mass, as a result of the expansion of the high-pressure system centered over the Arabian Peninsula and its approach to the Kingdom's atmosphere.

This is expected to be reflected in temperatures, which will gradually rise to become several degrees higher than the average for this time of year, with hotter weather compared to the current days.

No signs of a heat wave next week

Despite the gradual rise in temperatures, current weather data does not indicate that the Kingdom will be affected by a heat wave during the coming week, as temperatures will remain slightly above their general averages, without recording exceptional increases.

This rise is expected to peak on Monday, with relatively hot weather prevailing in various regions, with maximum temperatures in the capital Amman reaching the mid-thirties Celsius, before decreasing slightly starting on Tuesday, while the weather remains hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba regions.

During the night hours, minimum temperatures will rise compared to previous nights, resulting in moderate to pleasant weather in most areas, with a clear decrease in the nighttime cold that prevailed in the Kingdom during the last few days.
