What can 10 minutes do to a child in the car?

Arab Weather - As the summer heat intensifies, the risks of leaving children inside closed cars, even for short periods, increase. Some may not realize that just 10 minutes in a closed vehicle under the sun can put a child's life in immediate danger.

The temperature inside the car rises significantly.

When the outside temperature is 40°C, the temperature inside a closed car can exceed 60°C within minutes. If the outside temperature rises to 50°C, the inside of the car can reach over 70°C. These numbers mean that a child's body will be exposed to:

severe heat stress

rapid heartbeat and breathing

Risk of fainting and loss of consciousness

In the worst case scenario: suffocation and death of the child, God forbid.

A child cannot regulate their body temperature as efficiently as an adult, making them more susceptible to a severe drop in blood circulation in a very short time. With no ventilation and trapped heat, a car can turn into a deadly oven within minutes.

During the summer months, it is also advised not to leave materials inside the vehicle that could explode or be damaged by high temperatures, including:

perfume bottles

Pressurized containers (such as deodorant or air freshener)

Lighters and batteries

electronic devices

These materials can explode or rupture and cause fires or property damage inside the vehicle.
