“Astronomical statement about the sighting of the crescent of the month of Shaban 1445 AH.. Islamic countries began the month of Rajab on Saturday, January 13, 2024 AD, and accordingly the crescent of the month of Shaban will be sighted on Saturday, the 29th of Rajab, corresponding to February 10, and seeing the crescent on that day is possible with a telescope from Australia, Central and South Asia And southern Europe, and it is possible with the naked eye with difficulty from most of the African continent, while seeing the crescent is possible with the naked eye relatively easily from most of the two American continents. Therefore, it is expected that the beginning of the month of Shaban will be on Sunday, February 11, in the majority of the countries of the Islamic world, and that it will be on Monday, February 12, in eastern countries that require sighting with the naked eye, such as India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
