The influx of pilgrims this year coincides with the dominance of an air high and hot air masses affecting various regions of the Kingdom, including the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, with temperatures reaching the mid-forties Celsius and exceeding that at times, amidst a hot and extremely hot atmosphere for the pilgrims.

Weather forecasters at the Arab Weather Center said that the outputs of the current weather maps indicate the continuation of hot and extremely hot weather during the coming days, with the hot weather intensifying over the weekend, coinciding with the Arafat pause and the beginning of Eid al-Adha, which will increase the burden and fatigue on the groups of pilgrims. Amid expectations that temperatures will reach 50 degrees Celsius in Mecca and Arafat.
