This is causing a very cold air mass, accompanied by a deep low pressure system, to rush from north to south, crossing Portugal and Spain at the end of the week, bringing heavy rains that threaten torrential rains and flooding.

In detail, meteorologists at the Arab Weather Center reported that as a result of the undulation of the polar jet stream, a very cold air mass is rushing towards southern Europe. A highly active low pressure system is forming, accompanied by heavy thunderclouds, resulting in heavy rain and severe thunderstorms. This type of weather condition is also accompanied by strong upward air currents, leading to intense hailstorms with large hailstones, which can cause damage to public property.

Heavy rainfall will be brought by the weather system to Spain in the coming days.

As cold air passes over the ocean's surface, and tropical moisture expands, weather activity intensifies in southern Europe, particularly Spain. High-altitude thunderstorms form, accompanied by heavy rainfall, including in the capital, Madrid, and Barcelona.

The weather system is expected to bring heavy rainfall amounts ranging from 100 to 200 mm, increasing the risk of flash floods, landslides, and flooding, especially after the soil became saturated with water as a result of recent heavy rains.
