Advanced weather technology in Arabia detects strong wind gusts tonight in the south of the Kingdom

Arab Weather - Advanced computer simulations at Arab Weather indicate that the peaks of the southern mountain highlands will be affected tonight (Tuesday night/Wednesday morning) by strong winds, especially the high Sharah Mountains, where the average wind speed is expected to exceed 60 km/h, with strong gusts that may reach about 110 km/h and may exceed that locally, which calls for taking the utmost precautions, securing objects that can be blown away, and avoiding stopping vehicles or standing under trees and signs.

It is also expected, God willing, that the southern highlands will be affected by the low-pressure system with rain and a chance of snow during the evening and night hours, as rain falls on Karak and Tafila, sometimes extending to the western highlands of Ma’an, and may be heavy at times in some areas and accompanied by showers of hail.

It is possible that the precipitation will be in the form of snow over the high mountain peaks, including the Rashadiyah and Qadisiyah highlands, the Petra district, and parts of the peaks of the Sharah Mountains.

Local accumulations of this snow are not unlikely, given the unique characteristics of the southern mountain peaks, which are extremely cold and allow for snow accumulation.
