We remember the storm `Jana` and the accumulation of snow for the first time in the city of Zarqa after an absence of 23 years

Weather of Arabia - Jordan and other regions of the Levant lived during the period between February 19-21 of the year 2015 under the effects of the "Jana" snow storm, which brought snow to large parts of the region.

The most prominent thing that happened during the storm from a weather point of view, was snow falling at a height of only 100 meters in the north of the Kingdom, and the accumulation of snow clearly in the city of Zarqa for the first time since 1992, and the accumulation of snow in large parts of the Kingdom, including the capital Amman, in addition to the accumulation of Snow massively exceeded 100 centimeters in stages in the heights of Tafila.

Then snowfalls began on Thursday, and snowfall increased on Thursday evening and Friday night and was accompanied by thunder. The snow covered large parts of the Kingdom, except for the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba. Then, this front moved towards Iraq and northern Saudi Arabia, but a new air front was formed that rushed into the Kingdom in the evening On Friday, the kingdom was made under the influence of a strong wave of snow.
