A whale has died and stranded on Sealine Beach in Qatar, and the Ministry of Environment is commenting

Weather of Arabia - The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change in the State of Qatar announced that, on Friday morning, the Ministry's environmental monitoring teams monitored a dead whale on the shores of the Sealine area on the eastern coast, south of the city of Mesaieed.

The ministry said in a tweet on its Twitter page that a specialized team dealt with the situation, and took samples and measurements of the dead whale to conduct the necessary laboratory tests and analyzes.

Traveler and environmental activist Khalifa Al-Humaidi published a video clip of the whale's death and stranding as part of his ongoing documentation of environmental life in Qatar.

According to reports, Qatari waters are among the largest concentrations of whale sharks in the world due to the suitability of their waters for these fish.

A research study had revealed the presence of about 600 rare whale sharks in the shores of Qatar, and the study classified the gathering as the largest of its kind in the world.

The whale shark is the largest animal in the world that does not belong to the category of whales, and the average size of an adult individual is estimated at about 9.8 meters and weighs 9 tons.

These fish come to Qatar annually from mid-April to the end of September, and sometimes to mid-October.
