• Lebanon: The Ministry of Health in Lebanon announced on Monday (20 June) that it had recorded the first case of monkeypox for a citizen who had returned from abroad. When he felt a high temperature and a rash, he went to a clinic and announced himself to the Ministry.
• Qatar: The Ministry of Public Health in Qatar announced on Friday (July 22) that it had recorded the first confirmed case of monkeypox for a traveler returning from outside the country. For 21 days, in anticipation of any symptoms appearing.
• Saudi Arabia: The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia announced on Thursday (July 14) that it had detected the first case of monkeypox in Riyadh for a person returning from outside the Kingdom.
• Egypt: The Ministry of Health in Egypt announced on Wednesday (September 7) that it had detected the first case of monkeypox for a 42-year-old Egyptian citizen who has residency in a European country and frequents it.
• Jordan: The Ministry of Health in Jordan announced on Thursday (September 8) that it had detected the first case of monkeypox.

For its part, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (European Health Agency), said that the risk of spreading the rare monkeypox in the population at large is "very low" but high in certain groups.
