موقع"طقس العرب"الإلكتروني- حذّرت وزارة العمل السعودية من تشغيل العُمال تحت أشعة الشمس خلال الفترة، من أول يوليو/تموز إلى نهاية أغسطس/آب 2012، خلال الفترات ما بين الساعة 12 ظهراً إلى 3 عصراً، في حال توقعت الأرصاد أن تصل درجات الحرارة سقف 51 درجة مئوية.
و أكّد المتحدث الرسمي لوزارة العمل حطاب العنزي لصُحُف عُكاظ و سبق السعوديتين ، أن الوزارة لديها أنظمة تمنع تشغيل العمال خلال هذه الفترات في المحلات المكشوفة، وتطالب أصحاب الأعمال تنظيم أعمالهم وفق المواد 98 و99 و100 من نظام العمل، مبينا أنه يمنع تشغيل العمال في المحلات المكشوفة المنصوص عليها في القرار خلال الفترة من 12 ظهراً إلى 3 عصراً، باستثناء عمال شركات النفط والغاز والصيانة الطارئة مع مراعاة العمال وإجراء اللازم لحمايتهم من أشعة الشمس.
وقال أن من يخالف تطبق عليها المادة 236، والوزارة تراقب من خلال مفتشيها ودورياتها في الميدان، وستطبق المخالفات بحق المخالفين.
