وهذا ما أكده الباحث الأمريكي صموئيل روبن بجامعة كاليفورنيا الأمريكية الذي نشر ملاحظاته في جريدة "فاسيب جورنال".

 

وبحسب روبن فإن لهذه الخنفساء القدرة على القفز 192.4 قفزة طويلة في الثانية، بينما الفهد الذي تصل سرعته لـ 100كم/الساعة ، فلا يمكنه أن يتعدى 16 قفزة طويلة جسدية في الثانية.
