وتشهد الشونة الشمالية ومحيطها تساقطاً غزيراً للأمطار، مما أدى لإغلاق طريق بالكامل. وبحسب شهود عيان تسببت الأمطار بتدهور الحافلة، حيث بلغ ارتفاع منسوب المياه إلى حوالي المترين وفق قولهم.
