موقع ArabiaWeather.com- عمر الدجاني-تُشير قراءات محطّات الرصد الجوي في مطار الملك خالد بالعاصمة السعودية الرياض مع الساعة السابعة من مساء الأربعاء 12-6-1436 هـ إلى انعدام تام لمدى الرؤية الأفقية،ما عمل على تعليق الرحلات من وإلى المطار إلى حين إنحسار العاصفة الرملية.

                               

من جانبها أقرت لجنة تسمية الحالات المناخية المميزة بالمملكة "لَتَحم"، تسمية العاصفة الرملية الحالية التي تؤثر على أجزاء واسعة من السعودية بـ "مُظلمة" وهي التي بدأت بالتأثير على البلاد اعتباراً من ساعات صباح الأربعاء 12-6-1436 هـ.

 

وُتعتبر هذه ثالث عاصفة رملية يتم إطلاق تسمية عليها،بعدما أقرت اللجنة تسميتين لعاصفتين رمليتين عظيمتين؛ هما: عاصفة سمكة الرأي في مارس 2011م، وعاصفة الشبح في مارس 2012م.
