موقع طقس العرب - قالت حكومة إقليم سيتشوان بالصين ووسائل إعلام رسمية يوم الأربعاء إن زلزالا بلغت قوته سبع درجات هز منطقة جبلية نائية بالإقليم في جنوب غرب الصين مما أسفر عن سقوط 19 قتيلا بينهم ستة سياح وإصابة 247 آخرين.

 

وذكرت هيئة المسح الجيولوجي الأمريكية أن الزلزال وقع في منطقة كثافتها السكانية منخفضة على بعد 200 كيلومتر شمال غربي مدينة قوانغيوان مساء الثلاثاء وعلى عمق عشرة كيلومترات. ووقع الزلزال أيضا على مقربة من محمية جيوتشايقو الطبيعية وهي مقصد سياحي.

 

وكثيرا ما يتعرض إقليم سيتشوان لزلازل. وكان زلزال كبير ضرب المنطقة في مايو أيار عام 2008 مما أسفر عن سقوط نحو 70 ألف قتيل.
