ووقعت الحادثة في الصباح الباكر بالقرب من حديقة نيروبي الوطنية أثناء توجه الموظفين إلى أعمالهم، حيث  ظهر أسدان بجانب الطريق وتوجها إلى منتصف الشارع لأخذ قسط من الراحة؛ فتسببا بإرباك كبير في حركة السير إلى درجة وقوف السيارات دون حركة.

 

 

 

وكان الأسدان يتمرغان ببراز الثيران في محاولة لإخفاء رائحتهما لكي يصعب اكتشافهما من الحيوانات الأخرى عند ذهابهما للصيد، مما أدى إلى توقف حركة السير لساعات على الشارع.
