Meteorologists at the Arab Weather Regional Center are monitoring the latest computer simulation results, which indicate that 10 Arab countries will be affected by weather disturbances during the remainder of August and over the weekend, amid expectations of varying intensity of rainfall and thunderstorm activity in some areas.
According to the latest weather analysis from the Arab Weather forecasting team, cumulus clouds are expected, God willing, to increase and rainfall of varying intensity will fall on Yemen, western Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, Sudan, Somalia, and Djibouti. The weather forecast includes hail showers that may be heavy and accumulate in parts of Yemen and Saudi Arabia, with significant lightning and thunder activity at times.
Weather forecasts also indicate that some areas in Algeria and northern Tunisia will be affected by atmospheric disturbances, with cumulus clouds expected to increase and scattered thunderstorms expected in random areas, possibly heavy in limited areas.
This is due to the flow of warm, humid winds coming from the south, along with the infiltration of cooler northerly winds from the north. This leads to the collision of air masses and the occurrence of atmospheric disturbances that increase the chances of rain clouds and thunderstorm activity in several regions.
