وقد شكل الهلال الأحمر غرفة للطوارئ وخصص 18 موقعاً داخل الخرطوم للتعامل مع الأمطار والسيول، وفقا للأمين العام لجمعية الهلال الأحمر السوداني بالخرطوم يوسف العبيد.

 

وشهدت منطقة جنوبي أمدرمان في منطقة الصالحة وشرق النيل في منطقة الوادي الأخضر بولاية الخرطوم، هطولا غزيرا للأمطار تسبب بحدوث سيول جارفة.
