Arab Weather - Typhoon Wipha, which struck China, caused significant material damage with winds reaching speeds of nearly 167 km/h as it swept through Hong Kong, before weakening to a tropical storm as it entered Guangdong Province in southern China.

According to the latest storm observations, maximum wind speeds reached more than 167 km/h in Hong Kong, with higher gusts recorded in some areas, reaching 234 km/h.
