وشهد الجامع الكبير حضوراً كبيراً من المصلين مما أدى الى إمتلاء ساحاته الداخلية والخارجية.

 

ويعرف عن الشيخ أحمد الحوشي صوته الجميل المليء بالخشوع ، كما عرف عنه بختمه للقرأن الكريم ما يقارب الـ 10 مرات في شهر رمضان المبارك بواقع ختمه كل 3 أيام ، حيث تمتد صلاة التراويح في الجامع الكبير في خميس مشيط الى ما يقارب الـ 4 ساعات يومياً.
