Arab Weather - The monitoring stations affiliated with the Arab Weather Center and the Jordan Meteorological Department recorded remarkably low temperatures at dawn and in the morning of Monday, December 16, 2024 AD, reaching their lowest at Queen Alia International Airport in the capital, Amman, where they recorded 0.5 degrees Celsius below zero, and Mafraq Governorate recorded similar temperatures.

Experts at "Arab Weather" attributed the Kingdom's recording of such low temperatures to the Kingdom being affected by the extension of the Siberian high, which pushed dry Siberian winds towards the Kingdom, causing a significant drop in temperatures and the dominance of a very cold atmosphere.
