Jordan | Universities announce shifting student attendance to distance learning amid the heat wave.

Arab Weather App - Al al-Bayt University and Hashemite University have decided to switch to distance learning for students this week, due to the heat wave affecting the Kingdom and its repercussions on the safety of students and faculty members.

At Al al-Bayt University, university president Osama Naseer announced in a press release that students will be attending classes remotely starting Monday morning, August 11, 2025, and continuing until the end of the school day on Thursday, August 14, 2025, to ensure the safety of university students amidst the difficult weather conditions.

At Hashemite University, it was decided to switch to distance learning for students on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only, due to the heat wave and its impact on student and faculty mobility.
