Jordan will be observing the crescent moon of Shawwal on Thursday evening, the 29th of Ramadan 1447 AH.

His Eminence the Grand Mufti of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ahmed Al-Hasanat, called on citizens to look for the crescent moon of the month of Shawwal for the year 1447 AH on the evening of Thursday, the 29th of Ramadan 1447 AH, corresponding to March 19, 2026 AD.

The Fatwa Department announced that its offices will open their doors throughout the Kingdom to receive testimonies regarding the sighting of the crescent moon , in preparation for announcing the date of Eid al-Fitr .
