Weather forecast: 47 degrees Celsius in the holy sites on the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah

The latest data issued by the National Center for Meteorology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia indicates that the weather in the holy sites, today, Monday, 1 Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH, will be generally hot to very hot, coinciding with the beginning of the month of Dhul Hijjah and the start of the influx of pilgrims to the holy lands.

The center predicted that temperatures in the holy sites would be as follows:

Arafat: 47°C
Muzdalifah: 47°C
Mecca: 46°C
Mona: 46°C

In contrast, the weather is relatively cooler in Medina, where maximum temperatures reach around 41 degrees Celsius, while the weather remains hot during the daytime.

Important recommendations for pilgrims to the Sacred House of God:

• Avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
• Drink plenty of fluids and water regularly to keep your body hydrated.
• Wear light-colored, lightweight clothing to reduce the effects of heat.
• Use umbrellas or sun protection when moving around outdoors.
