Meteorology: Red alert issued for heavy seasonal rains and strong winds in several regions

The National Center for Meteorology issued a series of weather warnings and rain forecasts, covering parts of Jazan, Asir and Al-Baha, accompanied by lightning, thunder, thunderstorms, strong winds, hail showers and flash floods, in addition to temperatures approaching 50 degrees Celsius in several regions.

These warnings will continue until 9:00 PM on Monday, July 13, 2026, with varying levels of warning between red and orange depending on the severity of the weather conditions in each region.

Areas covered by warnings, rain forecasts, and heatwave for Monday, July 13, 2026:

Jazan:

• Red alert: None
• Orange alert: Al-Harth, Al-Da'ir, Al-Raith, Al-Ardah, Al-Aydabi, Fifa, Haroub
• Yellow alert: Abu Arish, Ahad Al Masarihah, Al Tuwal, Al Fatihah, Samtah, Sabya, Damad

Asir region:

• Red alert : Al-Majardah, Bariq, Rijal Alma, Mahayil, Al-Harjah, Al-Rabou'ah, Al-Farsha, Sarat Abidah, Dhahran Al-Janoub
• Orange alert: Al Namas, Balqarn, Tanomah, Abha, Ahad Rafidah, Khamis Mushait.
• Yellow alert: ponds, swamps.

The courtyard:

• Red alert: None.
• Orange alert: None.
• Yellow alert: Al-Hujrah, Al-Makhwah, Farghat Ghamid Al-Zanad, Qalwah, Al-Baha, Al-Aqiq, Al-Qura, Al-Mandaq, Baljurashi, Bani Hassan.

Mecca:

• Red alert: None.
• Orange alert: None.
• Yellow alert: Adham, Maysan, Al-Ardiyat.

Eastern Province:

• Red alert: None
• Orange alert: Temperatures may reach 50 degrees Celsius in: Al-Ahsa, Al-Udayd, Abqaiq, Jubail, Khobar, Dammam, Dhahran, Qatif, Ras Tanura, Khafji, Nairyah, Qaryat Al-Ulya.
• Yellow alert: None
